Commissioned Ankh Pendant

Many of my clients are into magical workings. There are many names for this: energy workers, witches, pagans, white magic, etc. This client in particular uses her gifts to help others and she requested a protective amulet in the form of an ankh. The Egyptian Ankh is also known as the Key of Life.

In this piece I used a total of four metals: Aluminum, Copper, Brass and Hematite. The Hematite is coated over the Brass.

Aluminum shields energy, and acts as a shield to bound negative energy away from the wearer. Aluminum is Projective/Male and it's element is Air. Aluminum also makes the magician/witch/etc's energy invisible. It' shields as if it's a cloak.

Copper is used to direct energy during rituals. It is also worn during rituals to increase the direction of energy towards a desired goal. Copper is Receptive/Female and its element is Water

Brass attracts money and has the energy of the sun. Brass is protective and is great with defensive magic--it, just like Aluminum, sends the negative energy back to where it came from. Brass is Projective/Male and it's element is Fire.

Hematite is an iron oxide mineral and is a metallic gray in color. Scientist of the Mars Exploration Rover Project have actually found deposits of Hematite on Mars. Hematite protects the wearer's vital energy/life force and guarantee's their survival. Hematite is a great grounding stone that stabilizes the wearer when being bombarded with energy from other sources. Hematite has a Projective/Male energy and it's element is Fire.

In this piece I used four gemstones: Citrine, Garnet, Tiger Eye, and Rose Quartz.

Citrine energizes every level of life.  It cleanses the chakras and opens the intuition.  Citrine attracts wealth, prosperity and success.  It imparts joy, wonder, delight and enthusiasm.  Raises self-esteem and self-confidence.  Stimulates the brain, strengthening the intellect.  Citrine promotes motivation, activates creativity and encourages self-expression.  Enhances concentration and revitalizes the mind.  It releases negative traits, depression, fears and phobias.  Emotionally balancing.

Garnet cleanses and reenergizes the chakras.  It revitalizes  purifies and balances energy, bringing serenity or passion as appropriate.  Inspires love and devotion.  Garnet balances the sex drive and alleviates emotional disharmony.  It activates and strengthens the survival instinct, bringing courage and hope.  Stimulates past-life recall.  Sharpens perceptions of oneself and others.  Garnet removes inhibitions and taboos.  It opens the heart and bestows self-confidence.

Tiger Eye, a stone of protection, may also bring good luck to the wearer.  It has the power to focus the mind, promoting mental clarity, assisting us to resolve problems objectively and unclouded by emotions.  Particularly useful for healing psychosomatic illnesses, dispelling fear and anxiety.  Useful for recognizing one’s own needs in relation to the needs of others.  Balancing yin-yang and energizing the emotional body, Tiger Eye stabilizes mood swings, imbues us with willpower, purpose, courage and self-confidence, and releases tension.

Rose Quartz is the stone of universal love.  It restores trust and harmony in relationships, encouraging unconditional love.  Rose Quartz purifies and opens the heart at all levels to promote love, self-love, friendship, deep inner healing and feelings of peace.  Calming and reassuring, it helps to comfort in times of grief.  Rose Quartz dispels negativity and protects against environmental pollution, replacing it with loving vibes.  It encourages self-forgiveness and acceptance invoking self-trust and self-worth.
